OUR DENTAL TREATMENTS
WHY CHOOSE US
VIDA takes your comfort and well-being very seriously. We understand that many patients struggle to access dental care due to fear and anxiety, often delaying seeking help, resulting in more difficult and invasive treatment being necessary. Conscious sedation can provide the solution for you, allowing even the most nervous of patient cope with their treatment in a completely relaxed state.
At VIDA we currently provide intravenous conscious sedation for adults only (over 16 years old).
SEDATION JOURNEY
If you think you may benefit from sedation, we offer complimentary appointments to discuss the sedation process and your personal concerns. This is also an opportunity to meet our resident sedationist, Dr James Pugh. You will start to feel at home at this appointment and more able to assess your own needs.
If you decide that sedation is right for you, we will provide you with a written cost estimate, information leaflets and complete some necessary pre-treatment health checks.

Depending on your preference, and, when your dental treatment is scheduled for, your sedation will be delivered by one of the following experts in dental sedation.

No. The whole concept of sedation is that it is there to alleviate anxiety. The effect of having sedation to help with more anxiety-inducing procedures often results in less dental anxiety in general. Many patients find that getting the more complex treatment completed under sedation spares them the anguish of pre-treatment nerves and they reach the road to health far more quickly and happily. At VIDA we will always get as much done in a single episode of sedation as possible, often completing treatment more quickly than if you were not sedated because the dentist is able to work more effectively. Sedation is not addictive and you should not worry that you are on a slippery slope.
