Emergency Care explained
VIDA hopes you are never deterred from seeing a dentist before more serious problems have time to develop, therefore we highly recommend a VIDA membership plan which assists you with Emergency Care and Advice appointment charges such as Denplan Care or Denplan Essentials.
What happens when you need advice or emergency care
The practice will aim to schedule you with a fully private VIDA dentist within one working day if you are in pain. For advice and assessment you may decide whether to take the soonest appointment with the VIDA dentist who is covering Emergencies for that day, or take the soonest appointment with your regular VIDA dentist.
Private charges
At VIDA, our Denplan Care patients receive all their emergency care including the follow-up routine treatment arising, under their Care plan.
For Denplan Essentials patients, we include up to two Emergency and Advice appointments per calendar year. Further Emergency and Advice appointments will be charged at our standard examination fee.
For patients not on Denplan, we will provide Emergency and Advice for our standard examination fee. This will include an x-ray and a simple temporary filling.
For patients who are not registered at VIDA, we offer a Rapid Rescue appointment.
If you do not wish to pay any charges for Emergency and Advice appointments,( for example if you have intermittent issues which you know require frequent checks) then we recommend you join Denplan Essentials or Denplan Care to give you freedom to access our private dentists whenever you require that extra appointment for peace of mind.
More about Denplan Care
A monthly subscription allows peace of mind that dental charges for routine dentistry (such as replacement of old fillings, or management of newer problems) as well as your essential dental care (dentist and hygiene visits and small x-rays) are covered.
Every patient is continually assessed on a broad range of criteria before they are allocated into their Denplan Care group, to ensure that the membership fees are kept as low as possible and that the system is fair for all patients. There are a vast number of other benefits to bring comfort and peace of mind whilst securing private dental care. Refer to Denplan Ts & Cs booklet for more details.
More about Denplan Everyday Essentials
This monthly subscription covers all small x-rays and the routine dentist and hygiene visits. We also include up to two Emergency or Advice appointments per year. Allocation to a Denplan Everday Essentials group is based on how often you see the dentist and hygienist for routine dental health support. Refer to Denplan Ts & Cs booklet for more details.
Currently VIDA believes that Denplan Everday Essentials is the most cost effective membership plan for the majority of patients who do not have a large number of pre-existing fillings or dental crowns. We are happy to advise you on these plans and your usual 6 monthly dental appointment is the best time for this conversation.
