Lets start with the easy question. What is the meaning of life?
For me personally , it is to try and make the absolute most of every single day .
To make everyone I come into contact with a little bit happier and put a smile on their faces.
To make a dwelling place in our world for the Big Boss above.
How do you maintain a healthy work life balance?
Constantly striving to be the best at what I do and to be prepared to learn from everyone around you..
Don’t work harder-work smarter !
Work hard and rest hard and yes SMILE!
What’s you view on electric toothbrushes- yes or no?
They are an excellent tool but not a panacea.
They make a lot of noise and create bubbles galore -so can be suckered into thinking they are doing a great job when they
may not be!
Highly recommend small heads for improved access.
What question do your patients ask you most often?
How does a born South African become a true Red Scouser?
What is the first thing you do when you arrive home from work?
Pack my work kit away and chat to my wife.
How do you help your patients relax at an appointment?
I have learnt over the years how to interact with my patients by establishing an excellent rapport,
trying to understand their fears and concerns and treating them with kindness, respect and care.
Do you have any tips for remembering to floss?
I always tell patients to think of a photograph of me-if you floss daily you get to avoid me ,if not -I look forward to seeing you often!
What is it about dentistry that gives meaning to your life?
I love helping people and get a real kick from transforming an anxious patient into a confident patient;relieving pain and helping to deliver
beautiful,healthy and confident smiles.
Ok, your top tip for avoiding coffee staining?
Drink white wine!
All the best things are bad for you (in this case tea, coffee and red wine all contribute to staining)
Take care
